Do I have to order Harvest Bites every week?

There’s no obligation to order Harvest Bites every week, but we’d love you to as it will make the experience optimal for this trial.

Do I need to clean the reusable packaging before I return it?

Yes please, it is essential that you return your packaging clean. Here’s how:

  • The containers and glass jars are dishwasher safe.

  • The lids for the glass jars need to be hand washed (please don’t use abrasive scourers or detergents).

  • When the containers are returned to us, we will be commercially washing and sanitising them.

  • Please keep them in the bags that they were delivered to you in.

How do I take care of the reusable packaging?

Glass containers

  • Glass containers are microwave, oven, dishwasher and freezer safe.

  • Do not place hot dishes on cold/wet surfaces.

  • Do not put cold liquids in hot dishes.

  • Do not place dishes on a heated stove top.

  • Do not use abrasive scourers or detergents when cleaning.

  • Do not use damaged dishes.

  • When removing the dish from fridge or freezer do not place in a pre-heated oven above 120°C.

Glass jars

  • The glass jars are dishwasher safe.

  • Lids need to be hand washed.

What reusable packaging will be used?

Glass containers

  • Food can be stored, reheated and frozen in the food storage containers that have airtight lids.

  • Lid have a steam release vent which is popped open for microwave reheating and closed for fridge, freezer and pantry storing.

  • For microwave reheating and defrosting, remove lid before placing in microwave.

  • BPA free.

  • The containers are made from: borosilicate glass, sealing: silicone, lid: polypropylene (PP).

Glass jars

  • The glass jars are made from: soda lime glass (body) and tin (lid)

What happens if I forget to give back the reusable packaging to the driver?

We will allocate for you to receive reusable containers the following week, but please ensure they are returned with your next order / pick up.

When does the trial start and end?

The reusable packaging pilot will commence on Monday 22 February 2021 and run for 4 weeks, ending on Monday 22 March 2021.

What happens after the trial?

You’ll receive a short feedback survey to collect your feedback after the trial ends. You’re also welcome to share feedback anytime by emailing us at We’ll review all the feedback, how satisfied people were, ongoing costs and then make a decision whether to use the reusable packaging on an ongoing basis.
