Firedoor Fireshop Friday Dinner Box (Serves 2)

With the doors of Firedoor temporarily closed due to the greater Sydney lockdown, Lennox, Jason and the Firedoor team have partnered with OzHarvest's Harvest Bites to create a Fireshop Friday Dinner Box to support their amazing producers, raise funds for the wonderful mission of OzHarvest, and bring a taste of Firedoor to the safety of your home.

To celebrate Indian Independence Day on 15th August, enjoy an Indian Feast curated by Firedoor’s Sous Chef Ahana Dutt delivered to your door. With cooking instructions included for every home cook, it’s time to light the fire (or turn on the stove) for your Fireshop Friday feast!

The funds from your purchase directly supports Firedoor and the team, with a $10 donation enabling OzHarvest to deliver 20 more meals to people in need. To further support OzHarvest, please feel free to add an extra donation to help deliver even more meals!

FIREDOOR FIRESHOP MENU - FRIDAY AUGUST 13

Bharli vangi   

A traditional stuffed eggplant dish from Maharashtra, filled with fragrant spices, chilli, coconut, roasted shrimp, and sesame seeds. Accompanied by spiced yoghurt bread with fried curry leaves. 

Chicken reshmi kebab (requires cooking) 

Originating from Mughlai cuisine, free-range Tasmanian chicken thighs marinated in garlic, yoghurt, green chillies and cashew paste, ready to grill. Reshmi means silky in Hindi alluding to the succulent texture.  

Chola’r dal  

Split pigeon peas, cooked with cumin, ghee, and ginger. This dish is from West Bengal. 

Raita 

A favourite of Indian cuisine made from fresh mint, cucumber, yoghurt, and toasted caraway. 

Pulao (requires cooking) 

Basmatic rice with cinnamon, star anise, and black peppercorns.  

Banana sheera  

Semolina halwa, cooked in ghee, finished with caramelised bananas and toasted almonds. A delicious South Indian banana semolina pudding.

Optional Extra Add-Ons:

  • To support Australian Truffle Farmers during the peak truffle season, add-on Australian Truffle (10g) - $20 
  • Add a small jar of pickled vegetables ‘achar’ (cauliflower, carrot, and beans with mustard and spice) - $15

Each week, place your orders before the cut-off timings and have your meal delivered directly to your door. Choose from our range of weekly meals, fruit and veg boxes and pantry products

2. Meals made with love

Our hospitality partners and OzHarvest Ambassador Chefs will prepare your meals, with quality produce sourced from small-scale growers, suppliers and producers directly supporting our local food industry. 

3. Delivered to your door

On delivery day, a delicious meal will be delivered* to your door with profits directly supporting OzHarvest's work in food relief to help feed people in need. *Delivering to limited postcodes in Sydney only
